Candy Cables are the sweet new cables on the block!
So many flavors…
So much sweetness!
Cables, cables, cables
Black, white, and gray cables are fine but given the option I would definitely choose a cable with some color. I tend to be drawn toward color and since the human eye can detect millions of colors, I know I am not alone.
When I got my current phone (Samsung Galaxy S4), I could have purchased the standard black case the same day, but I knew there were more color options. The idea of a colorful case was a big draw for me and I was more than willing to wait a week or more to get the colors I wanted even if it meant my phone would be without a case for that long as well.
I went with a pink and green phone case that I love!
However, when I looked at all the cables that came with my phone (sync cable and a charging cable), I thought why can’t we do this with cables too? Now that I had a styling case, I wanted some cables to match my phone. This served as my motivation for researching what options we could offer our customers and that is how my quest to bring Candy Cables to life began.
Colors? Styles? Patterns?
After weeks of searching, I was absolutely amazed at how many options you could get in cables. From the color of the cable itself to the many embellishments you could add to the cable and to the wall / car chargers, there was no shortage of options. The real challenge was going to be paring down the selection to just a few items.
Which to choose?
So why all the fuss? Simply put, color makes me happy. A single color can make you smile, it can bring beauty to something that was dull. Color can spark the imagination! I wanted our new products to have some vibrant colors and to also have them sparkle and shine. I wanted options!
I put myself in our customer’s shoes and if it were me buying cables, this is what I would want for myself. The cables are colorful, fun, and appealing to the eye. But most importantly I wanted a varied selection so someone could get a cable with some personality.
After looking over all of the options and getting opinions from everyone in the office, we decided to launch the new brand with two items in a choice of colors.
Introducing Candy Cables!
After all of the testing was done and the dust settled, I finally decided on the colors and the styles.
For our first set of items we have glitter and rhinestone embellishments. What I loved most about these two styles is that they brought sparkle and shine to cables and I knew they would be a good start point for Candy Cables.
Rhinestone set includes, cable, and wall & car charger.
Glitter set includes cable and wall charger.
The glitter and rhinestones give the cables a fun look. The colors are vibrant and can appeal to several color tastes. I have already personally bought some of these cables to keep in the car or at home when I need to charge my phone. Who knew cables could be so sweet?
